Heavy things are lighter with laughter.

When I picked up Harper from the airport when she came to visit, I was wearing my wig. She hadn’t seen my bald head yet, and to be honest, I didn’t know how she would respond when she saw it for the first time.

But she wanted me to take it off and show her. So I did. This was the video of her seeing my chemo hairdo for the first time.

It wasn’t an easy moment for me because no one wants to have to explain heavy topics to little kids. But laughter makes everything easier.

We can’t take life too seriously. Even the crappy parts. It’s way more fun to eat carrots and laugh about the few hairs still holding on😜
