What type of road do you live on?
There is something about wide open spaces, hand out the window, country music blaring, dust billowing behind on a gravel road type of adventure that just fuels my soul.
Gravel roads don’t show up on every map. They lay within the grandest fields and hide amongst the most intimate forest sanctuaries.
They aren’t the hurry-up type of road that screams that you’re late for another meeting. They aren’t the noisy bumper to bumper traffic type road that challenges your patience.
They are the slow down and roll down your window type of road. They are the let your hair down and laugh with your buddy riding shotgun type of road.
What kind of life do you want to be living? I want to be living a gravel road type of life. Not a hurried, too busy to take in the moments type of being. But the intentional adventure type. The one less traveled that might be a little rough around the edges with unexpected bends and turns that cause us to slow down. It’s nice to know where you’re going all the time; there’s peace in that feeling. But there is far more excitement in the journey with unexpected endings.
