“You have a really round head,” a lady at the grocery store said to me in the meat aisle.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I laughed and said, “Yep! It’s really on full display now,” reevaluating my choice to go bald to the store that day.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“It’s perfectly round. Your parents did a really good job,” she said back.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I smiled and laughed again, “Thank you!”⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Then me and my pork chops I’d picked out went along on our way. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I think we overthink compliments sometimes, both giving and receiving them. I maybe could have taken offense to her silly compliment that pointed out my obvious cancer struggles, but I think her intention was much different. She had simply taken notice about something unique about me that she appreciated and was bold enough to tell me.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I love that. Because ya know what? Her silly remark actually did make me feel better in my own skin that day. I DO have a round head, no major jumps that I can see, and my parents DID do a good job. Way to go round headed genes😂🙌⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So be bold enough to give a few more compliments💕 They don’t have to be perfect, they just have to be honest and given with good intentions. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The round head one has already been used though, so you’ll have to find some new ones for all the bald people in your life😜⠀
