American Honey has always been designed to eventually evolve into a platform that celebrates the stories of multiple women, especially in their stories of faith. We all have a unique story to tell, and it’s my heart to help you tell that story and share it with others. There is so much that unites us when we are able to be vulnerable and honest about all the parts of our life, including the hard things. Like cancer. Or infertility and miscarriages. Or singleness. My goal is to eventually develop a series of themed Christian devotionals that will include the stories of multiple women (maybe YOU?!) telling their stories on some themed topics like these. The first devotional I’m pursuing is a breast cancer themed Christian devotional where I’m looking for breast cancer warriors and survivors whose faith was bigger than their circumstance. Entries will be relatively short, around 1000 words or less, and will include the woman’s picture and copy of her hand written name. Entries will be due in November with the book aimed to be published in December.You do not have to be a “writer” to participate in this. I’m looking for real women just brave enough to share their stories. You won’t be alone on this journey of writing either! We are creating a little online community that will help you develop your idea and bring it to fruition. To be able to say you’re in a published book that will be impacting the lives of so many women will hopefully be a really great feeling too!
