There’s something about holding each other’s hand that signifies a certain level of unity, intimacy, and closeness.

In friendships, in relationships, with neighbors, with strangers. The meaning of holding each other’s hand can be so different in each scenario but equally as powerful.

We hold hands with our friends while celebrating victories together and helping each other towards our goals. We hold hands with our loved ones to show our love and to keep them close for protection. We hold hands with our neighbors as we give each other helping hands. And we hold hands with strangers at church as we pray together.

In a world that’s dealing with so much right now, we need that more than ever (maybe with just a little extra hand sanitizer to go along with it )

Maybe it’s just me, but I love seeing people hold hands. In all the forms.
