“Stand by me.” That’s probably the biggest honor to ever have.

This girl is getting MARRIED to such a wonderful guy, and I cannot wait to get to stand by her side as a bridesmaid.

Standing up beside our best friends on their wedding day is one of the most meaningful things to be part of. Sure sitting at the head table and wearing pretty dresses is nice, but I don’t take that duty lightly. For me, I feel accountable to that marriage with a responsibility to continue to pray for that couple forever and speak as much life into them as I can when needed.

When I went with her to try on wedding dresses, it was one of my first social events after starting chemo and losing all my hair. I wore my wig out for one of the first times and had a sweet heat flash during her session. Thank you cancer hormone therapy for that one.

But when she gets married next year, we will both be ready to start such new adventures and I cannot wait! Thankful for this one who is allowing me the honor to be part of her special day and who has also been so supportive through all of my treatments and in helping me chase goals. I don’t think I could have found anyone who was more excited to go jump fences in dresses into a cow field at dusk to help me take boutique pictures. You’re the best
