Radiation is like our words.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Depending on how either of them are used, they can either be helpful or harmful, life-saving or used to destroy, deep or surface level.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And if we aren’t careful, both can cause extreme damage to the heart.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In a time where it’s easy just to throw out surface level burns, be the one who cuts past the scars we all possess and spreads healing from the inside out.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

While difficult to fully capture on my fair skin, you can see the radiation burn that cuts across my armpit and squares off at the top of my stomach. I’ve completed 13 radiation sessions thus far and have 6 left to go. As cancer cells can linger around the incision from surgery, recurrence is most common right around the scar. Therefore, the last 4 radiation sessions will zero in on my scar to more aggressively treat that specific area.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here’s to prayin’ that Jesus will work a miracle and these radiation burns will turn into my first tan🙏🏻😜
